How to Get a Library Card

To get a library card, you need to be a resident of Bondurant or anywhere in an Iowa Municipality or County that provides or contracts for library services. Current identification and proof of address are necessary to receive a card. There is no charge for a library card.
Applicants Younger Than 10:  children who fit the residence requirements and are at least 5 years old are eligible for a library card according to the discretion of their parents or legal guardian. Parental signature is required for persons under the age of 10. Responsibility for a child’s selection and return of materials, and any fines or charges accrued on the child’s card is held by the parent or guardian of the child. Cards for children under the age of 10 will not be issued to parents/guardians if the child is not present.

  5. Play the Wii and Xbox.  Use your library card to enjoy our Nintendo Wii, and XBox games.  Choose games ranging from Super Smash Brothers Brawl to Madden 10
  6. Check out Reading, Music and Activity Kits for Kids.  A whole selection of educational and entertaining backpack kits filled with stories that include music CD's, books, puzzles, games and puppets are available in the children's area 
  7. Get the Latest Fiction.  New books, including many of the latest bestsellers for all ages and every interest
  8. Use Study Rooms.  Need a quiet place to study?  It's first come first served, or reserve a room for a time of your choice
  9. Get Music.  CD's - many music genres available
  10. Check out Magazines.  Popular magazines for many interests are available for your perusal and checkout.  "Automobile", "Sports Illustrated", "Food Network", "Better Homes & Gardens", "Experience Life", "Iowa History", "People", "InStyle" and "WebMD" are just a few.
