Library Meeting Room 6:45-7:30 PM

This beginning yoga class is designed to familiarize beginners with basic Yoga postures and breathing techniques to increase flexibility, strength, and well-being. With an emphasis on personal instruction students are led through stretches, hatha yoga postures and simple breathing practices, then guided into progressive deep relaxation. This is an ideal class for those with chronic pain or stress, those returning from illness or injury, or anyone who would like a gentle introduction to yoga. Dress comfortably, bring your own mat or blanket and water bottle. Class is taught by Patty Van Meter, RYT.
