Bondurant Gamers Make Finals of National Gaming Day!
Bondurant Community Library joined 1200 other locations around the globe to
>take part in the 4th Annual National Gaming Day on November 12th. The
>American Library Association established the event as a celebration of the
>fun and social interaction of gaming - from board and card games to
>role-playing and video games - for the entire community.
> In addition to providing great board and card games for attendees, Bondurant
>took part in the interactive video game tournament, where a team of local
>gamers took on other teams from across the nation to vie for the title in an
>afternoon of Epic Super Smash Brothers Brawls.
> Bondurant's small but mighty team racked up enough points in the early
>rounds to qualify for the finals, coming in seeded in 13th place among all of
>the participating teams. Though they did not emerge as the ultimate victors,
>their excellent showing was hard-fought and well-earned. Top scorer for Team
>Bondurant, Tristan Trunnel summed up the experience by saying, "It was fun,
>but some of the battles got hard as we advanced through the tournament." They
>are already plotting their revenge for the 5th Annual National Gaming Day in
>November of 2012.
